Aggie Wedding Gift

Both my cousin and his fiance attended Texas A&M University, so when it came time for their wedding shower, we knew we wanted to get them something Aggie related!

Materials:

Open back frame
Canvas that fits inside frame
Burlap (enough to cover canvas...I also doubled mine so the canvas didn't show)
Finishing nails
Paint
Paint pen
Ribbon
Staple gun
Glue gun

Directions:

I bought an unfinished wood frame and painted it maroon to go with the Aggie theme. I also put a little black on it as well to give it more of a worn look. I used two coats of paint and then let it dry completely before moving onto the next step.

Next, use a staple gun to attach the burlap to the canvas. It is very important to pull it tightly so that there are no bubbles on the the front. After the burlap is securely attached, use your hot glue gun to attach the canvas and frame together.

Now it's time to paint! Taking up the majority of the canvas, paint the first letter of the couples last name. Let it dry completely before moving onto the next step.

Next, write out their last name and the year they are getting married. I think it is easier to do this part with a paint pen, but regular paint can be used instead!

One of the last parts is to attach the ribbon to hang the framed canvas. Pick a coordinating ribbon, and then cut two equal pieces. Using two finishing nails on each side, attach both ribbons.

You will also want to use two more finishing nails to secure both ribbons at the top.

Lastly, tie the ribbon in a cute bow and you are finished!

Congratulations to Ryan and Liz!! Can't wait for y'all's wedding!
